Anotation:

The information society, intelligent systems, new technologies significantly influence various HVAC system applications. The fundamental idea is to save energy, materials and ensure optimal indoor and outdoor environmental parameters. The influence of electromagnetic environment, electromagnetic compatibility, application of intelligent devices in buildings requires a system approach to solve the whole complex of HVAC and intelligent wiring.

Study targets:

The student will gain knowledge of the practical impact of electric and magnetic fields on human health and the built environment. A substantial part is aimed at acquiring knowledge in the design of intelligent building and automated building systems.

Content:

An introduction to the field of logic systems to industrial bus communication and networks aimed at energy saving and building automation is presented in a clear way and in examples, in the IB laboratory, describing existing and future IB solutions.

Course outlines:

1 Introduction to the subject. Selected basics of electrical engineering. Definition of Smart Buildings and Smart Cities, concept, architecture. A new perspective on buildings and in the context of Smart Cities. 2 Basic concepts and definitions of control. Basic concepts of control in HVAC applications. Basics of logical control. Combinational logic circuits, applications, logic system design. 3 Logic functions. Examples of applications of combinational logic circuits. Fundamentals of sequential logic circuits. 4 Logic control, introduction to building automation systems. 5 Practical examples of logic system applications based on building automation solutions. 6 Topological installation diagram. Communication. System design for intelligent building solutions. 7 Intelligent building in specialized systems. 6 Typology. Sample installation design procedure. Sensors and actuators of the system. Programming functions. 8 Implementation of functions in the control system. Examples. 9 Typology. Sample installation design procedure. Sensors and actuators of the system.
