Subject Telecommunication Processes Control presents review of solution principles for switching systems. It contains solutions for switching fields, control systems and review of signalisations for switching control (in central office as well in networks). Deals mainly with digital switching systems with circuit commutation as well as transport of IP packets. Also contains basic consideration about convergence of voice and data services and networks including functional principles of new generation networks with respect to philosophy and services of inteligence network.

Study targets:

Student is able to understand principles and solutions of switching systems and services used by.

1. Telecommunication network. Switching system. Control system. Principle of switchiong system control.
2. Switching system control elements. Centralized, decentralized and distributed control systems.
3. Switchin networks, subscriber circuits, lines and trunks, tone generators, diagnostic circuits.
4. Numbering plans in telecommunication networks.
Numbering plan structure of the Czech national network. Number portability and other liberalized services.
5. Signalling systems in switching networks. CAS, CCS, mfcR2.
6. CCS signalling, Signalling systems of DSS1, Q-sig, DPNSS.
7. Signalling system No. 7 - MTP part L2, L3, SCCP, TCAP, ISUP and MAP protocols.
8. IP telephony. Quality of IP services, provisioning and assessing.
9. VoIP protocols overview. The SIP protocol, first part.
10. The SIP protocol, second part.
11. Intelligent Networks. Definition, implementation.
12. .New Generation Networks. IMS systems. Definition, features, principles, usage. Convergencz with current networks.
13. Postprocessing in telecom industry. Types of billing, methods of recording and data transfer from exchanges to the billing centres. CDRs and their further usage.
