Anotation:

Course gives an overview of signal analysis methods including estimation of second order statistics.

Course outlines:

1. Linear and cyclic convolution, filtration in frequency domain
2. Overlap-add and overlap-save methods
3. DFT and introduction to spectral analysis
4. Digital filter design
5. Examples of digital filters
6. Quantization, analysis, simulation
7. Sampling of band-pass signals, discrete Hilbert transform
8. Re-sampling, decimation and interpolation
9. Filter bank
10. Short-time Fourier transform and wavelets
11. Random processes, basic features
12. Estimation of ensemble and time averages
13. Spectral and correlation estimation
14. Signal modelling

Exercises outline:

1. Filtration in frequency domain
2. Implementation of overlap-save method
3. Illustration of leakage and windowing
4. Examples of digital filter design
5. Simulation of frequently used filters
6. Simulation of coefficients and signal quantization
