Information for Applicants for a Study Program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FEE)
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering offers bachelor degree programs, master degree programs and a postgraduate doctoral degree program. The studies are conducted in English language. Applicants must have good written and spoken English.
Basic information about studies at FEE CTU
BACHELOR AND MASTER PROGRAMS - ADMISSION PROCEDURE
1. Applications for bachelor programs
Applicants must send the following documents:
- application form for admission to the bachelor study program
- original of their transcript of studies (list of study grades) or a notarized copy of it
- a notarized copy of the secondary school leaving certificate; Bachelors/Masters applying for studies in a bachelor program can submit a notarized copy of their bachelor/master diploma instead
- proof of payment of the admission procedures fee (CZK 500).
All documents are to be delivered to the Study office of the FEE not later than the end of May 2012, for enrolment in September 2012.
- Recognition of the previous level of education achieved by the foreigner in another country than the Czech Republic is subject to the Higher Education Act. The applicant must therefore also submit a confirmation of the equivalence of the education achieved abroad. This confirmation must be delivered before enrolment. The authorities competent to make decisions on recognition of school-leaving certificates are the School departments of the Regional Authorities.
- All applicants must pass an entrance test in mathematics, except those whose performance in mathematics during their high school studies was excellent or very good. The dean of the faculty can make an exemption from the test on the basis of the applicant's study results.
- The tuition fee in bachelor programs is 55 000 CZK per one semester and must be paid before enrolment.
2. Applications for master programs
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- application form for admission to the master study program
- The original of their transcript of studies (list of study grades) or a notarized copy of it; students finishing their bachelor program in summer 2012 may submit a copy of a transcript for the courses taken up to and including the most recent examination period
- A notarized copy of the bachelor/master diploma (graduates only)
- proof of payment of the admission procedures fee (CZK 500).
All documents are to be delivered to the Study office of the FEE not later than the end of May 2012, for enrolment in September 2012.
- Recognition of the previous level of education achieved by the foreigner in another country than the Czech Republic is subject to the Higher Education Act. The applicant therefore must also submit a confirmation of the equivalence of education achieved abroad. This confirmation must be delivered before enrolment. - The entrance admission procedure differs according to the program of study.
