The dean of the faculty can make an exemption from the test on the basis of the applicant's study results.
- One of the main conditions required for admission to a master study program following on from the bachelor level study program is a completed bachelor or master level study program documented by the respective diploma. The entrance admission procedure differs according to the study program.
Recognition of the previous level of education achieved by a foreigner in another country than the Czech Republic is subject to the Higher Education Act.
- The authorities competent to make decisions on recognition of school-leaving certificates are the School departments of the Regional Authorities.
- The authorities competent to make decisions on recognition of bachelor/master diplomas are Czech universities; at the CTU - Department of Education and Student Affairs of the Rector's Office, Mrs. Brzoňová, phone: 22435 3359, e-mail: kvapilo@vc.cvut.cz.

- Application for study should be submitted to the Study Office of FEE within the fixed deadline together with:

More information is available in Basic information about studies at FEE CTU.
STUDY CONTRACT
- A foreigner who has fulfilled all conditions required for admission and who wants to participate in an accredited study program developed for foreigners will sign a study contract with FEE (represented by the dean).
- The study contract is signed for a period of a minimum of one semester.
- The study contract specifies, in particular, the financial conditions for studying, the amount of the tuition fee and how it is to be paid, sanctions, accommodation conditions, board and health insurance.
- A foreigner can only be admitted upon signing the study contract and paying the stipulated tuition fee. Should the foreigner fail to sign the contract and/or to pay the stipulated fee, the admission conditions are not fulfilled.
TUITION FEE
From the academic year 2011/2012 the tuition fee in both bachelor and master programs is 55 000 CZK per one semester.
CREDIT SYSTEM
In order to quantify the study load of individual courses, a unified credit system is applied. Credits obtained within a study program are added up; the cumulative number of credits serves as a tool for study assessment. The credit system is compatible with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
STUDY PROGRAM
Studies at FEE CTU in Prague are pursuant to act No.111/1998 Coll., in accordance with the Study and Examination Code for Students of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Admission Procedures, Conditions of Study for Foreigners and the guidelines of the FEE.
An applicant becomes a student on the day of enrolment to study on a study program. Registration is performed on dates set by the dean. Students are obliged to register for each semester at the Study Office of the Faculty.

Registration for courses (compulsory, compulsory elective and optional)
A student who has not successfully completed a course may register for the same course a second time; no course may be registered for more than twice. If the second registration for a compulsory or compulsory elective course again concludes with the student receiving a fail grade, the studies are terminated.
Termination of studies

- non-fulfillment of the requirements of a study program.
Comprehensive final examination
The comprehensive final examination consists of two parts, each with a separate evaluation:
- the defense of a bachelor's project or diploma thesis,
- oral examinations in technical subjects or groups of topics.
The preconditions for admittance to a comprehensive final examination are as follows:
- in a Bachelor study program: accumulation of 180 credits in the prescribed structure
- in a Master study program: accumulation of 120 credits in the prescribed structure.

BOARD AND LODGING
Foreigners studying at CTU within an accredited study program in English may be accommodated in student dormitories and may eat in the University canteens under the conditions set in a contract.
The accommodation, in a shared two-bed room, costs between CZK 1800 and 3600, depending on the dormitory. Meals in a university canteen cost about CZK 3000 per month.
- Students from the EU, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Iceland need to bring their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) from their home country. After arrival in the Czech Republic, they must register at General Health Care Insurance Company of the Czech Republic, to obtain an official document providing them the same health service as citizens of the Czech Republic, free of charge.
Address of the Office (Úřadovna PVZP, a.s.): Vítězné náměstí 9, Prague 6, the third floor, tel. 224 307 234/6.
- For students from non-EU countries: it is strongly recommended that international students of the CTU should obtain health insurance coverage in their own countries for the period of their studies in the Czech Republic before their arrival in the Czech Republic. If they do not have their own health insurance, then they are obliged by the law to pay General Health Insurance for Foreigners in the Czech Republic (approx. 40 USD per month).
VISA
Visa applications are filed at diplomatic missions, not on the territory of the Czech Republic.
When applicants are invited for interview or entrance examinations, they should check with the Czech Embassy in their home country whether they require a visa for a short-term visit to the Czech Republic. Such a visa is valid for a maximum of 90 days. Once accepted for studies in the Czech Republic, the student will obtain long-term visa for study purposes, valid for 365 days. This visa may be obtained only via the Czech Embassy and Consulate in their home country, and must be applied for well in advance, i.e. 3 months prior to the planned departure.
The application for long-term residence must be made by the foreign national at earliest 90 and at latest 14 days before the expiry of validity of the long-stay visa.
