Registration for the Bachelor's/Master's Thesis Course

  1. Students register for their Bachelor's/Master's Thesis as a course - "Bachelor’s/Master’s Thesis" - for the semester in which he or she expects to finish their studies in the Bachelor's/Master's Programme.
  2. The student is then obliged to submit his or her Bachelor's/Master's Thesis in the semester in which he or she has registered for the course "Bachelor's/Master's Thesis". If the student fails to submit a Bachelor's/Master's Thesis by the due date after the first registration in the course “Bachelor's/Master's Thesis”, he or she will register for this course in the following semester for the second time (setting an alternative date for submitting the project is only allowed if a student provides a relevant excuse – health problems or other serious reasons; a written apology, along with relevant dcoumentation, must be delivered through the Study Office before the original deadline for submission and must include a statement from the Department Head who assigned the Bachelor's/Master's Thesis, as well as a statement from the Supervisor).
  3. If the student fails to submit his or her project in the following semester after the second registration for the course “Bachelor's/Master's Thesis“, an alternative submission deadline may be set based on a written apology (see para. 2 for details).
  4. The conditions for setting an alternative deadline for submitting the Bachelor's/Master's Thesis, as well as the conditions for the second registration for the course Bachelor's/Master's Thesis, are specified in Article 16, para. 4 of The Study and Examination Code for  Students of CTU in Prague. Failure to submit the Bachelor's/Master's Thesis after the second registration for the course “Bachelor's/Master's Thesis” will result in the student’s studies being terminated in compliance with § 56 para. 1 letter b) of the Higher Education Act.
