Anotation:

Electrochemical sources of the electric power - overview. Primary cells and accumulators. Methods of accumulator charging. Alternative sources of electrical energy. Uninterruptible power sources and their control. Sources for electrochemical production processes and their control. Environmental aspects of the electrochemical sources and production processes.

Study targets:

A student are well-educated of properties of fundamental type of the eleectrochemical sources, theit application at realization of electronic circuits, technology of realization accumulator systems and methods of actuating of electronic equipment

Course outlines:

1. Independent electrochemical power sources. Fundamental terms
2. Types of primary cells - construction, characteristics, parameters
3. Lead-acid accumulators - construction, characteristics, parameters
4. Alcaline accumulators - construction, characteristics, parameters
5. Lithium accumulators Li-ion, Li-pol, power applications
6. Charging and quick charging of accumulators - principles, characteristics
7. Applications of accumulators in electromobilles
8. Alternative sources of electrical energy - principles, application
9. Applications of alternative sources of electrical energy in IB
10. Uninterruptible power sources (UPS) - fundamental principles, characteristics
11. Systems of uninterruptible power sources for IB, electrochemical sources, dieselgenerators
12. Perspective sources of electrical
13. Environmental aspects of the electrochemical production

Exercises outline:

1. Equipment of the laboratory, safety rules for electrical and electrochemical sources operation
2. Discharging characteristic of the primary cells
3. Charging characteristic of the accumulator
4. Discharging characteristic of the accumulator
5. Electrical design of the elektromobil
6. Design of the electrochemical sources for UPS in IB
