Anotation:

The course is suitable for students who have good knowledge of the material covered in secondary school. Course objective: The course focuses on technical English and practising difficult grammar.

Study targets:

Course objective: The course focuses on technical English and practising difficult grammar. Listening: Authentic texts, exercises from the texts, argumentation. Reading: Technical texts. Speaking: Discussion, agreeing and disagreeing in a discussion, expressing opinion, commentary. Writing: Note-Taking, Paragraph Structure, Commonly Used Transitions, Summary, Abstract, Argumentation Paper. Grammar: Revision of tenses, infinitives, nominative and accusative + infinitive, gerund, participles, relative clauses, conditionals, connectors, determiners, conjunctions, prepositions, articles, phrasal verbs, word formation. Syntax of technical texts. Use of dictionaries.

Requirements will be specified by individual teachers during the first class of the term.
