Anotation:

The subject dwells on problems of electromagnetic compatibility. Students obtain the basic knowledges in the field of electromagnetic compatibility - electromagnetic interference, susceptibility and testing methods. The subject leads to gain professional skills in the field of electrical engineering.

Course outlines:

1. Introduction to EMC, basic terms and EMC standards
2. Transmission lines, electromagnetic interferences
3. Measurement equipments in EMC, testing methods
4. Measurement Uncertainty in EMC Testing
5. Crosstalks
6. EMC filters and overvoltage protections
7. Shielding
8. Full anechoic chambers, Semi anechoic chambers and Reverberation chambers
9. Radiated and conducted interferencies
10. Radiated and conducted susceptibility
11. Testing methods - interferencies and susceptibility
12. Signal integrity
13. Biological aspect in EMC - limits and standards
14. EMC and the Printed Circuit Board
