Design, TCAD simulation, realisation and characterization of new design concepts of power semiconductors (fast recovery diodes, thyristors, IGCTs, IGBTs) for applications in renewable sources of energy (hydro pumping, solar, wind), DC transmission systems (HVDC, FACTS), traction (converters) or industry (motor control). New designs and processes will be realized up to the prototype level on production line of ABB Semiconductors (CH).
