A virtualized network lab for cyber security

A remotely accessible lab that allows you to create and work in an environment that contains authentic images of network elements (switches, routers, firewalls) and end stations or servers.

It is a unique graphical environment integrating network and application plane emulation.

Laboratory environment

The lab is based on an open environment that allows both full virtualization of the network and application plane and the ability to create hybrid scenarios and connect the environment with real-world elements.

The network elements allow emulation of real OSes from leading providers (Cisco, Juniper, CheckPoint, F5, etc.) or opensource variants.

Endpoint elements allow running applications on real OS Microsoft, Linux, containerization support is also possible.

Work at the laboratory

  • The laboratory is available 24/7 with the possibility of booking time.
  • Remote access to the lab via browser (full HTML 5, no telnet, rdp, vnc over html5, etc. required).
  • The lab has a fully graphical environment with active elements, making it easy to visualize the intended scenario.
  • In the environment, everyone has their own separate space in which to perform configurations or experiments with individual elements.
  • Possibility of team collaboration on a common scenario.
  • Easy storage/uploading of distributed work.

Possible use of the laboratory:

  • Onboarding/adapting employees to the new environment.
  • Interoperability tests in heterogeneous networks.
  • Configuration training for individual network elements, scenarios or systems.
  • Creation of infrastructure digital twins to accelerate application development or validate network environment development.
  • Training of various cyber security scenarios.

Use for cyber security

  • Practical skills training on F5, CheckPoint, Cisco ASA, Opensource FW, IPS/IDS, etc.
  • Penetration/integration testing of newly deployed applications/systems.
  • Complex scenario training in heterogeneous networks.
  • Creation of infrastructure digital twins for further use in architecture changes, disaster management, resilience enhancement, etc.
